The following lists the results for a typical student in the course.

Their first step was to do research into a project concept, here via a Google Forms document shared on social networks:

A Information Architecture Taxonomy and Empathy Map were developed:

Personas were created to represent the target market for the app:

 

Research (affinity mapping and card-sorting with non-design students) was conducted using Optimal Workshop to validate the personas:

This work is applied to the next course in the Interactive Communications student track, where students develop full Design Documents and early-stage prototypes.
