Russia's first humanoids look like the Honda Asimo but are controlled by an external computer and can recharge wirelessly (I'd like to see the static in that room).

St. Petersburg-based electronics company New Era developed two humanoid robots, ARNE ("male) and ARNEA ("female"), Height (123 cm) and weight (61 kg) seem similar to the Honda Asimo. Like the Asimo, they can walk on their own, avoid obstacles, distinguish and remember objects and colors, recognize 40 separate commands, and can speak in a synthesized voice. The androids can run on batteries for 1 hour, compared to 1.5 hours for the Asimo. The robots are the result of collaboration between New Era and students from the St. Petersburg State Polytechnical University.

HOnda CEO with his replacements"There is only one condition in which we can imagine managers not needing subordinates, and masters not needing slaves. This would be if every machine could work by itself, at the word of command or by intelligent anticipation."
- Aristotle, from his justification of slavery in Politics
